THE ALMIGHTY BANHAMMER by ~Trigononamous:iconTrigononamous:

Artist's Comments

This mighty weapon dispenses justice towards trolls of all make and model.

Known in the legendary tongue as B&jolnir, this all powerful mallet was originally wielded by the Mods of Old, deities who reigned over Ancient Earth. A single swing of the B&jolnir would confine a mortal being to a limbo-like state of comatose torture. During this period, the individual was said to feel time pass, and age, but was unable to move, speak, or even think. Only observe. If this time lasted longer than the victim's natural life, he or she would pass on to the afterlife without being released.

When held in the hands of the Great God Ädmnir a full blow would assign it's victim to a permanent, personal hell filled with the most unspeakable eldritch horrors. Today's languages are entirely unable of even beginning to describe the pain and suffering experienced within those realms.

More recently, skilled artisans and blacksmiths have begun reproducing this ancient technology, though at a minor fraction of their original power. Top metallurgists are making breakthroughs in the alloy and UHMWI (Ultra High Molecular Weight Intermetallic) fields.

Today's versions include none of the flash or bang of their mythical counterparts. The original B&jolnir, possibly more legend than it was a real weapon, was said to be adorned with jewels spawned by the heat and pressure of the creation of the universe itself, and trimmed along it's edges with pictorial representation of the history of all great battles before it's existence.
